Health Insurance Stockton

Gone are the days of simple health insurance plans. Today the market is flooded with different policies. Some pay just for emergency care, some just pay for well-person visits and unfortunately most leave the insured wondering just what it pays for. Some people have access to group health plans while others are left with only individual health options. For the most part, group health coverage is more expensive but has many more bells and whistles than the individual plans.

Individual Health Insurance

Individual plans have many options available. There is the short-term medical coverage for those either in between jobs or for college graduates waiting for their first job. These plans are generally very basic. They typically are rather inexpensive because they do not come with office co-pays. The insured must reach their deductible before the policy will start to pay out. These plans can be purchased month to month or can be purchased as a six month policy. Most can be renewed at least once before the applicant must go back through underwriting.
